THE AWARDS & CRITERIA:
Spirit of the Community nominees must meet each of these specific criteria:
Provide valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community, and
Demonstrate leadership and initiative in the development and/or expansion of volunteer projects.
Outstanding Citizen nominees must meet each of these three specific criteria:
Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession, and
Provide valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the business climate and the quality of life for others in the community, and
Assist others in developing and utilizing their full leadership potential.
Businesses Nominated for Dawna Marie Excellence Award must meet this criteria: (Small Business Award)
Evidence of sustainable growth, innovative practices and commitment to excellence in their industry.
Demonstrated contribution to local community through philanthropy, volunteerism or other initiatives that positively impact Cadillac and the surrounding area.
Commitment to positive workplace culture, supporting employee development, retention and hands-on leadership.
Proven track record of delivering exceptional service to customers, clients, or stakeholders, with a strong focus on relationships and reputation
NEW THIS YEAR! Businesses nominated for Business Excellence Award (Large Business) must meet the following criteria:
Evidence of long-term organizational growth, innovation, and operational excellence that contributes to economic stability and job creation in the region.
Demonstrated investment in the local community through philanthropy, partnerships, or programs that create measurable impact in Cadillac and the surrounding area.
Commitment to a strong workplace culture and leadership structure, including employee advancement, training, and organizational development.
Proven track record of consistently delivering high-quality service or performance to customers, clients, or stakeholders at scale.
COMPLETING THE FORM:
Nominations must be submitted on supplied nomination form (Physically printed or submitted via our online submission form)
Initial nomination process has been simplified. You do not have to have all information at the nomination time but will be contacted immediately to help gather the required information and to supply names of those that may be able to help gather information.
Please take time to thoroughly review the nomination form and provide detailed, measurable information that highlights your nominee’s involvement, accomplishments, and leadership. The more complete and specific your submission, the more helpful it will be to those selecting the recipient of this prestigious award.
THE PROCESS:
A selection committee comprised of Award alumni & Community Leaders will review all nominations and select both the Spirit of the Community recipient Outstanding Citizen, and Business Excellence Awards

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Thursday April 30th, 2026. (This is the final date for all information, if waiting till deadline to nominate, must have information readily available for jury)
