The CACC works with the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance (NMCA) to push legislation at the local, state, and federal level to benefit the Cadillac area and rural Michigan. Through this partnership the NMCA advocates on behalf of area chambers to make competitive business easier, promote job creation, educate the current and incoming workforce to meet the needs of employers, and promoting investment into infrastructure.

Incentives to offset employee housing costs through new development, rehabilitation, vouchers or down payment programs.

Payment-In-Lieu-Of-Taxes programs for local governments interested in incentivizing and promoting workforce housing.

Amend MSHDA Qualified Allocation Plan to better address housing needs.

ACCESS TO QUALITY CHILD CARE

Incentivize options for employers to provide childcare on site or through multi-employer cooperative.

Create Child Care industry ombudsman, or similar transparency check, to address compliance and regulatory inconsistencies.

Increase technical assistance for new child care providers.
