Ambassador Application

  • The Chamber Ambassadors are a dedicated group of business professionals who link the Chamber and the business community. Chamber Ambassadors act as the welcoming arm of the chamber, helping to recruit new members and welcoming new businesses to the area and to our chamber events to grow their network. Ambassadors at a the core of the Chamber business events. They enjoy the rewards of strengthening the Chamber, making new connections and accessing a wealth of resources and information.
  • (For Ambassadors Active for over 2 years)
  • * Roles Include, but not limited to: Chair: Presiding over monthly club meetings and Ambassador Activities, appointing ad-hoc committees, and maintaining regular communication with the Chamber for Meeting Agendas, concerns, etc. Vice-Chair: Preside over monthly club membership, contact Ambassadors who are not fulfilling their interest in maintaining Club membership, and communicate with Ambassadors throughout the year to provide feedback and gauge interest in moving forward, keep meeting on track by adhering to agenda. Scribe: Take Notes at Meeting and send out within 7 calendar days of meeting. Follow up with Chamber to ensure Calendar invites have been sent with details for Events/Meetings. Mentors: Team of four who will volunteer to assist new Ambassadors with any questions and ensure they feel comfortable in their new role. Media Team: 2-4 individuals to take photos, share ideas for member posts/content, help record videos or go Live at events.
  • I understand that my responsibilities are to:
  • • Be Current Members of the Chamber and in good Standing.
  • • Serve as an Ambassador for a period of at least one year. I can be re-elected for another term.
  • • Always promote the Chamber in a positive manner
  • Attendance Expectations. We know Life Happens. You MUST communicate on attendance. Points will be awarded the more you are able to show up. No more than 3 no call, no shows are allowed. •8 Ambassador Meetings a year • 60% of Rise Up • 50% of Business After Five • Minimum 3 of 6 Annual Events (Economic Forecast(March) Gov. Bkf (April), Briefcase Open-(May), Advocacy in Action-(May), , Annual Awards Dinner- (June), Holiday Luncheon- (December) • 70% of Ribbon Cuttings (Most will be given at least a 14 day notice) • Attend Ambassador Yearly Meeting
  • • Report service hours promptly to the Ambassador Vice-Chair.
  • •Engage with Membership • Make Membership referrals as often as possible to Chamber. • Greet and Welcome members at events •Invite non-members to attend Rise Up and Business After Five and encourage them to join • Participate in fundraising, gaining sponsorships and 50/50, raffle tickets. • Engage with Chambers social media by liking, sharing, commenting and tagging. • Reading Chamber publications, newsletters, website etc and staying in communication with feedback etc.
  • •I understand the mission and purpose of the Ambassador Program and agree to devote the time necessary to accomplish the goals of the program.
  • • I further understand that if my schedule does not allow me to fully support my duties as an Ambassador for more than a short period of time, I will resign until I am able to fully participate. I will communicate via email or text if I am not able to attend an event. (A decline on a calendar invite will not be sufficient, please also email a response in acknowledgement)
