What is a Chamber of Commerce?
A
chamber of commerce is a private, non-profit organization of business
and professional people dedicated to improving the economic and civic
environment of a community and fostering the growth and prosperity of
business. The chamber's strength is in its members, who create a pool
of resources from which it can draw ideas, talents, energies and financial
resources; these resources are combined to solve problems and create opportunities
within the community.
History: Founded in 1899, the Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce
has played an important role in the continuing community and economic
development of the Cadillac area for over 100 years.
